Why your SLA might be utterly useless….a good read… Service Levels that are too complicated to measure??? I don’t think so…

ServiceFrame will be attending the Planning and Implementing Shared Services event in London at the end of September. The event promises to be a whirlwind tour of the best practices around establishing Shared Services Centres – we expect the event we will be a good opportunity to understand what the primary concerns are at the moment in relation to Shared Services Centres.

Our interest in eSCM (a best practice model for Shared Services) will provide a good backdrop to the advice being provided.  We expect a focus on quality of service delivery versus attempts to manage cost more rigorously. As always the creation and management of Service Level Agreements will probably be a key theme. In the context of Shared Services we often see a somewhat more ‘relaxed’ attitude to documenting and managing Service Level Agreements – in the medium term this is usually a mistake as information relating to compliance to SLAs is key to driving an honest and open relationship between stakeholders in Shared Services teams. If you are planning to attend and would like to meet us and talk about our Service Level Agreement (SLA) Management tool or just about Service Level Agreements and Shared Services generally then please do not hesitate to contact us!
